The unthinkable has happened, we say at the end of last issue that Spawn has seemingly been killed. Cog recruits Sam and Twitch to go retrieve Spawn's body, as the criminals who murdered Al report into their boss. Just who is the mysterious figure pulling the strings? Well you will have to listen in to find out, but it is a character we have seen before. Plus, what is going on with the seemingly insane Mrs. Byrd?

After the dealing with the impact of his face reverting to the scarred ruin he returned to earth with Spawn is finding himself a bit adrift. He comes across many of his friends in Rat City having a discussion on the nature of good and evil, as well as heaven and hell. While no answers are forthcoming, Spawn makes an interesting discovery that leads to dire consequences.
Jace and Jay talk about a few of the books hitting comic shops March 30, 2022. The final issue of Spider-Woman is bittersweet as it has been so much fun and the last installment is no exception. Also the second issue of Ghost Rider & Rogue Sun both have plenty of drama and intrigue while the debut of Immortal X-Men feels very grand in scope. Two more ending as we get the final Beyond issue of Amazing Spider-Man and the first arc of My Date With Monsters comes to a close and both stories leave plenty of plot threads to be explored in subsequent issues.
Jace and Rocky break down the final part of War for Earth 3 as the Titans arrive on Earth -3 and the battles are fast and furious. Rick Flag's paranoia gets the best of him and his attempts to foil Amanda Waller's plan may have doomed them all. Tons of action in this finale, but there seems like more to come from these events in the upcoming Dark Crisis.

Jace chatted with Jennifer Stevens-Bawcum, sister of the late Dave Stevens. Dave was an incredibly talented and influential artist whose timeless pulp inspired style captured the imagination of many comics fans throughout the 80's and 90's. Many more fans discovered Dave's creation, the Rocketeer when it became a hit film in 1991. The current Zoop campaign honors both Dave and the Rocketeer by bring the figure to life in stunning color as a puzzle. Jace talks with writer J.M. DeMatteis about returning to the character of Ben Reilly. The talk some Clone Saga on general and of course touch on Kraven's Last Hunt, but the majority of the conversation revolves around the themes J.M. likes to explore in terms of duality, identity & the overall complexity of the human spirit. Jace and Blake talk about the story of Abdiel, the first angel in heaven's army. He sacrifices everything to become a fallen angel to be consigned to hell and be there waiting when a certain soul destined to be a hellspawn arrives. Things don't exactly goes as planned though and the tale turns tragic.

Spawn realizes he should have heeded Cogliostor's warning and not wasted time confronting Jason Wynn. He no longer appears human and is distraught over losing his chance to connect with Wanda. Thinking he can patch things up with Terry, he finds that he may have ruined that relationship as well, leaving the hellspawn as isolated as ever. Just when it seems things can't get worse, he also seems to be sickening and losing control of his powers.
Jace and Rocky break down the forth part of War for Earth 3 as the Titans get involved. Rick Flagg's squad got soundly defeated during the first big battle on Earth 3, so this time when they go back they are bringing the Titans along for support. Even the adult Titans don't realize just how many Titans are making the trip though.
Jace and Rocky talk about part IV of the Wonder Woman-centric event, Trial of the Amazons. We get the best issue of a Yara Flor Wonder Girl comic yet, with gorgeous art by Joelle Jones. It is tone perfect & celebrates Yara's heritage and the unique visuals of the Esquecida tribe

A perfect jumping on point for new readers or a great way for long time readers to refresh their memories on what has happened throughout the entire series so far. Sam and twitch catch up with Cogliostro and the mysterious figure fills them in on all the goings on with Al Simmons and the fight between heaven and hell. While the two detectives are skeptical, it is nothing compared to the bombshell Cog drops on them abut their connection to Spawn.

All out action in this issue! One of our favorite issues ever as Spawn is brimming with confidence after gaining his human face back. He is going to confront Jason Wynn and force him to back off once and for all. This is Al Simmons's chance to show Wynn just how powerful he has become. Even though the head of intelligence knows Spawn is coming, he has no way of stopping the hellspawn. In the end, the question becomes, is the price Al paid for this mission worth it?

Jace talks with writer Joshua Williamson about all the current projects he has going on at DC. From the end of his Flash run and thinking he might be leaving to building towards Dark Crisis with Infinite Frontier and Justice League Incarnate, plus Shadow War. The guys also discuss Josh going outside of continuity to celebrate his love of the classic Flash villains in the upcoming Black Label title, Rogues.
