Jace chats with writer Scott Bryan Wilson and artist Max Fuchs about their recently released debut issue of Kill More from IDW. Set in a city that is literally falling apart with anyone and everyone relocating if they can, it attracts exactly the wrong kinds of people, namely serial killers. This procedural explores the lives of the cops who stick it out to try and solve these crimes as well as the eclectic and numerous serial killers who are attracted to the chaos and entropy in the city of Colonia as it collapses. Sharp dialogue, impactful art and moody colors make this a must-read.

Jace is joined by veteran comic superstar Sean Chen and actor, producer, director Daniel Wu to talk about the current 24/7 Comic Kickstarter campaign for their project Evermind. Set in the near future and exploring ideas of technology run amok and blurring the lines between morality, exploitation of technology and the very things that make us human, Evermind is set at a breakneck pace with action-oriented art and thought-provoking ideas. Sean, Daniel and Jace talk about exploring those ideas while connecting with the readers and the unique process 24/7 used by generating early feedback for the title. Join us for this fun and intriguing conversation.

Jace and Rocky breakdown the DC titles for the week of September 19, 2023 starting with the third part of Gotham War, Cyborg, Superman and Green Lantern War Journal are all excellent while Wonder Woman #1 is the big debut and does not disappoint. The book of the week for both guys is Vigil once again as it continues to dominate every week it is released.

Sep 19, 2023

Jace and Rocky break down Wonder Woman #1 from Tom King and Daniel Sampere. It's a new status quo for the Amazon Princess and the Amazons themselves as they are branded terrorists. King leans into the idea of Winder Woman as a rebel and the Sampere art is absolutely stunning. Plus a new villain is introduced with origins linked to the very beginnings of America.

Sep 16, 2023

Jace is joined by artist David Nakayama to talk about his current Kickstarter Campaign for a gorgeous hardcover celebrating his work and career. David talk a bit about his process and decision to focus on covers and how important color is to his composition. The guys also chat about David's early days of falling in love with comics! Listen in and join in the fun.

Jace chats with writer Paul Allor about the first issue of his self-published anthology series, Pink Midnight: Barber Psychic, the second installment covers 85 years in the life of a barber who can see the future as he cuts people hair, this psychological horror story is beautifully illustrated in black and white by Juan Romera.

Rocky from Comic Boom! and Jace break down the DC Comics titles for the week of September 12, 2023. In anticipation of Batman day on the 16th we have Batman and Robin #1 and Batman Gargoyle of Gotham. Plus Batman Inc comes to a series conclusion. Also the latest issue of Danger Street is a bit of a departure from what has come before, while Superman Lost is much more predictable but no less enjoyable because of that.

Sep 8, 2023

Jace is joined by writer Trevor Fernandes Lenkiewicz and artist Ryan Best for an exclusive announcement about the latest project for Pocket Watch Press, Rise. A superhero story but with a twist, it will explore so very meta themes of masculinity in modern times through the lens of a character who derives his powers very much based on self-perception and his inherent maleness. If its anything like Trevor's previous work, we are expecting great things. Plus with artist Ryan Best pushing himself beyond the traditional look for superhero comics, we are in for one heck of a visual story. There's tons of information about the upcoming campaign, such as expected tiers and a general time frame for the launch of the campaign so listen in.

Sep 8, 2023

Writer Jeremy Adams returns to the show to talk about Green Lantern #3. Coming out of Knight Terrors, he tells us why it is the perfect time to jump on Green Lantern as some of the mysteries surrounding Hal's return to earth are about to be solved. Plus we'll learn why Sinestro is trapped on earth as well and how does that tie into the recent Knight Terrors Sinestro story. There's a lot to unpack for all GL fans, so listen in!

Sep 5, 2023

Jace is back after missing last weeks and the guys do not see eye to eye on the end of Knight Terrors and especially, Gotham War. A 45-minute pre-show discussion spills over into the episode as Rocky feels the Bat-Family has totally dropped the ball and are siding with Selina and he is definitely Team Bruce. Jace is more willing to consider that the proteges of Bruce weren't aware, perhaps purposefully, of what Selina was up to not wanting to confront her without Bruce's approval. Not that Jace is Team Selina, he is actually Team No One as he feels they are both wrong. With that out of the way the attention turns to Book of the Week for both guys as they do agree that Birds of Prey from Kelly Thompson is superb! An honorable mention goes to Blue Beetle as it picks up where the last series left off, while capturing the fun of the recent film as well. Peacemaker Tries Hard, Steelworks and JSA also continue to be great reads! So listen if for more details on these as well as the other DC titles this week.

Sep 4, 2023

Jace is joined by writer Kenny Porter to talk about Spawn. Kenny is on an epic re-read of the first 100 issues to be followed by diving into the next 200 which he hasn't read before. It's a fantastic conversation with interesting mix of perspectives. Kenny brings both a sense of nostalgia and context from a writer who is actively working in comics right now. Plus the guys chat about Kenny's current Superboy run and his series, The Schlub, which just kicked off. Listen in!
