Jace welcomes Mark Waid to the show to chat about all things Absolute Power. Mark gives his thoughts on the event as a classic big comic versus a villain spotlight as well as his thoughts on Amanda Waller as a villain. Mark also gives some insights on how the Absolute Power events we've seen so far tie together. What the consequences of this event might be is also hinted at and it seems that the end of the year for DC may be quite intriguing. Mark finishes up by giving his thoughts on working with the various other writers and artists on this event and how what they have brought to this story. There's tons of insight into the event here and enough hints to excite us even more for what's to come in the Absolute Power event.

This is Trevor & Pocket Watch Press' NINTH project on Kickstarter, having successfully funded & fulfilled all prior campaigns!

Jace chats with writer Dan Watters about Destro #1 from Skybound's Energon Universe. Teaming up with artist Andrei Bressan, Dan gives this debut tons of action while staying true to the character of Destro. THE NEXT CHAPTER OF THE COBRA THREAT BEGINS HERE.
James McCullen Destro XXIV is the man behind M.A.R.S. Industries, the undisputed leader in providing high-tech weapons to world powers-for the right price.
But the emergence of Energon has changed everything.
As Destro's ambitions grow, the "Crimson Twins" Tomax and Xamot Paoli emerge to destroy their competition, and Cobra Commander realizes his current ally could be his future greatest enemy.
Acclaimed writer DAN WATTERS (UNIVERSAL MONSTERS: CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON LIVES!, Loki) and artist ANDREI BRESSAN (DARK RIDE, BIRTHRIGHT) change the balance of power in the Energon Universe forever.

Jace and Rocky chat about the DC Comics for the week of June 18, 2024. Nightwing continues its final arc with the current creative team as Dick Grayson finds himself on the wrong side of the law. Jimmy OIsen may not be the best choice to save the world but you work with what you have in World's Finest and we get some fallout from Zur En-Arrh's action in Batman #149. We also have another possible explanation for the cause of Selina Kyle's nine lives that is more scientific than spiritual. The link between Wonder Woman and Cheetah is explored in Wonder Woman #10, though maybe not as deeply as it could or should be and Constantine gets very meta in his search for the sand of Morpheeus. Get the details about all of these in more in this week's episode.
